The following are the results of the 2007 Election of Members to the Council of the College of Opticians of Ontario in electoral districts District 4 (Western), District 7 (Central Western) and District 6 (Province-wide – member must hold Certified Contact Lens Fitter Designation)

District #4 - (Western Ontario)

Nominated Candidates: Mr. Thomas Michael Smart, C-1536 & Ms. Bernadette Power, C-3630

Elected Member to Council: Mr. Thomas Michael Smart has been re-elected to Council in Electoral District 4. Mr. Smart will commence his three year tern1 as an Elected Council Member on January 1, 2008.

District #6 - (The Whole Province of Ontario)

Nominated Candidates: Ms. Janice Schmidt, C-892 & Mr. Antonio Cereceda, C-302

Elected Member to Council: Ms. Janice Schmidt has been re-elected to Council in Electoral District 6. Ms. Schmidt will commence her three year term as an Elected Council Member on January 1, 2008.

District #7 - (Central Western Ontario)

Nominated Candidates: Ms. Parminder Dhillon, C-2611 & Mr. Ashwani Kanda, C-1450

Elected Member to Council: Ms. Parminder Dhillon has been re-elected to Council in Electoral District 7. Ms. Dhillon will commence her three year term as an Elected Council Member on January 1, 2008.
