Unauthorized Practice:
Upcoming Prosecution Dates

The College of Opticians of Ontario has devoted a significant amount of time to exploring better ways of prosecuting unauthorized practice.

As the protection of the public is the core of the COO mandate, adequately addressing the instances of unauthorized practice has been identified as one of the essential COO goals.

The COO is proceeding with the “injunction” based on s. 87 of the Health Professions Procedural Code, schedule 2 to the RHPA in the following cases.
